This barn is quite known by photographers and capturing the scene with some nice light and snow in the mountains is what brought me to the location on this early fall day

However one particular marking is at the State Capitol where engraved on a step leading to the west entrance and looking towards Civic Center Park is the indicator of "One Mile Above Sea Level"

The park is quite different in the winter with just a small portion of road open in the park

It has been a pretty active wildfire season in the area, but by the end of August the skies cleared of the smoke around the city and evenings like this returned to the city.
