Numerous cruise ships in port and the float planes arriving from their tours of the area

At first it was a reflection of a mountain in the distance I noticed

I chose the just photograph portions of the piece with the buildings filling the whole background

With the fresh snow on the grass and the fall color in the leaves I found myself on the capitol steps to capture this image west through Civic Center Park towards the City and County of Denver building

Sloans Lake Colorful Sunrise Building Numerous cruise ships in portl went to Sloans Lake on a September morning with the goal of capturing the rising sun over the city of Denver. When I arrived the clouds were covering the city. In the matter of a few minutes they started to show the colors of the sun before sunrise which I was able to photograph. The calm winds as well as a long exposure helped add to the picture with the city and colors in the clouds reflecting in the lake.
