Nocturne with Telescope I used the high resolutionacrylic on birch panel 24 X 24 in. 2017 (framed) "Often when Astronomers are looking at photo images of dense star fields they will use a negative image. By looking at stars as points of black or grey they are able to physically see more details. I was thinking about this type of reversal when I placed the stars in this plein air painting from Round Lake. I was going to colour the reversal but loved the way it looked so left it raw.
